  • Board-Only Price: £39 (includes UK P&P)
Tiny24/44/84 Adapter
for STK500

Tx4 Adapter 14-pin DIL adapter for programming Atmel ATtiny24/44/84 on the Atmel STK500 AVR development board. Supports serial ISP and HV programming.

  • Board price: £11.50 (includes UK P&P)

The adapter is constructed using high quality turned pin connectors to prevent distortion of the STK500 40-way socket. Note: an AVR device is not supplied with this adapter.

SOIC Adapter
8 Pin

SOIC-8 8-pin 1.27mm (0.05") pitch SOIC to 8-pin DIL adapter. Suitable for narrow (6mm) or wide (8mm) body SOIC devices. DIL footprint of 0.9mm diameter holes on 0.3" row spacing.

  • Pack of 10 adapter boards: £6.90 (includes UK P&P)

*** New lower pricing per-board - improved design now with solder resist ***

These adapters are ideal for assembling prototypes on EBM Experimenter's Boards, stripboards, etc., where ICs are only available in SOIC packages, for example the Atmel Dataflash family. 8-pin SOIC are relatively easy to hand-solder using a regular soldering iron.

Note: pre-assembled Dataflash modules are planned to be available soon.

EBM Series
EBM8 The EBM Series of Experimenter's Boards are ideal for experimentation, prototyping and the construction of proof-of-concept or demonstration models. The Starter Kit package provides everything needed to get engineers, students and hobbyists designing 'out of the box' with the minumum of prior device knowledge or board configuration.

Designed to eliminate the time needed for locating, procuring and assembling the components for a basic starting configuration, the EBM system allows users to immediately begin work on the more important tasks of circuit prototyping and software design. The on-board MegaAVR is supplied pre-programmed with an AVROSP or AVRProg compatible bootloader, so there's no need for any additional programming hardware, just connect to a PC serial port and get to work...

An accompanying CD contains hardware descriptions, example software, and the Kickstart version of the IAR EWAVR C compiler. This makes the EBM starter kit a complete solution suitable for the novice AVR user as well as those more familiar with these popular 8-bit microcontrollers.

Starter Kit Standard Features:
  • Adjustable 3V-5.5V regulator
  • RS232C driver with 9-way D socket
  • Reset switch and power LED
  • Single 'user' switch and LED
  • Standard 6-pin ISP header
  • Separated analogue ground plane
  • Socketed 7.3728MHz crystal
  • Position for optional 32kHz crystal
  • Position for optional AVcc inductor
  • Position for debugWire or JTAG connector
  • Optional jumpers for default signals
  • Prototyping area with over 1100 holes, tracked in groups of three
  • Built using through-hole components to allow easy modification and update
  • AVROSP or AVRProg compatible bootloader preinstalled
  • 1.8m PC Serial lead #
  • PP3 battery connector #
  • IAR Kickstart C compiler (4k limited) #
